Happy Sunday to everyone.
ThIt's a beautiful sunny day. I hope everyone gets out and about and enjoys the sunshine!
A big thank you to everyone who showed up for the Open House. It was great meeting some of the parents that I have not had a chance to meet before. I think the children did a wonderful job of showing you around, it was fun to see their positivity and their joy of sharing their classroom. For those who haven't had a chance to come in, you are always welcome to drop by in the morning.

Thank you to everyone who donated money for the Terry Fox Campaign. The children enjoyed walking to Jericho Beach Park and ran with all their heart. I loved to see their energy and enthusiasm as they ran to help Terry Fox fulfill his dream. I am not sure what Bayview has raised yet, but I know for sure our classroom superseded the one dollar per child. So Thank you soo much! After our energetic run we came back to the classroom and munched on freshly baked banana muffins that the grade two children made as their cooking activity. Thank you cooking moms (actually this time it was the granny's and the nanny) and thank you to everyone who helped out at the Terry Fox run!

This is a reminder that tomorrow Monday, September 28th is a professional day. I will be at the school board learning about Friendship and learning more strategies for incorporating positivity and enthusiasm and inclusion into the classroom. I can always learn more!

Then on Tuesday and Wednesday Ms. Craig will be teaching. I will be off on Wednesday so I will not be seeing my little ones till Thursday. So for this week there will be no spelling words handed out.

Reminders:
1) $20 cooking money is due.
2) It's picture taking day on Wednesday. Send your child with a clean face and combed hair.
3) Continue to do daily checks for head lice. There is a company called lice 911 that will come into the home and guarantee a lice free head. It does cost a little bit, but as headlice can be so hard to combat, sometimes this is the way to do it. But daily checks can help prevent the spreading of it. Catching it early, is easier on you. I know.

With that, enjoy the pictures.
You can see we are fully into talking about Fall and continuing our talk about Todd Parr.
WE LOVE TODD PARR!!!
