Good rainy morning to everyone!! Im sorry that I didnt post pictures but my battery died argh..so i had no pictures to share, but this week, I have lots!! We have worked hard these last two weeks. Highlights, learning about mushrooms and flowering bulbs were our hands out gardening projects WE know so much about mushrooms now!! Just ask your mushroom expert!! WE used the ink from our rotting shaggy manes (also knows as inkies) to paint the background of our mushroom pictures. WE talked about how the First Nations people would use many things like this as dies for clothing and paint a long long time ago! We have been talking a lot about being thankful, grateful, showing gratitude and kindness and every day that goes by I see many random acts of kindness and sweetness from your children. I am lucky to have them all in the class. EVery day the children are asked to come in, put their backpacks away, do their calendar and then check the white board for "clues" as to what our day has in store for us. It's like being a detective. They must use their brains to figure things out. They ask for help from a reader, if they dont know what the message says and then they get on with their morning. Talking to Paula, we both feel they have grown so much in such a short time!! WE are very proud of their growth in being a team !! I am posting some lovely pictures of activities that we have worked on as well as some pictures of the children painting their scarecrow pictures!! Have a great rainy weekend! xo Ms. T
