I hope everyone has enjoyed their lovely long weekend! The weather held up for all of us! Every day has been stellar. I hope you have all had the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the crisp Fall air.
I have homework for everyone.
Can you and your child collect five DIFFERENT leaves...no bigger than the palm of their hand and bring it into school in a ziplock...marked clearly with their name. We will be looking at them on Wednesday afternoon. So if you can get them to me by then that would be great. You do NOT need to know the name of the leaf...but if you do, that would be great...have your child write it down as we will be doing a booklet on leaves and that is why we are doing this. So just to clarify...a leaf from a deciduous tree..not a needle from a coniferous tree. Thank you.
A big thank you to everyone who came out and joined us at our Remembrance Day assembly. It, as usual, was touching and very heartfelt. Our children were amazing, considering it was a very long assembly. They also only had one opportunity to practice the Poppy March and they nailed it!! Way to go!!
This past week we have been doing a lot of discussion and activities around Peace, our Wonderful World and things to Remember...instead of using hurtful words and hands..what can we do to solve the problem in a peaceful way. Some amazing work was done.
Another thank you to all the parents who joined me for some conversations during our Parent Teacher conferences. It was wonderful to touch base with you and express our joy in your child! They are pretty wonderful.
This last week we had two more big events...1) we said good bye to Max and his family. They have left us to go down south and do more exploration. They said..we might see them once again on their way back up. We all enjoyed Max's sparkly and sunny personality and will miss him! 2) We got to meet Liya...our Roots of Empathy baby...i just want to say...awwwwwwwww....I will be posting pictures of both.
This will be a short little blog...with tons of pictures.
Enjoy your day and I will see you all tomorrow.
Cheers
