Good Morning and happy time change for everyone!
Well I was still awake nice and early!!! Im ready to start my day and am hoping for a little sunshine today.
Speaking of sunshine...did we ever luck out for our Field trip to VanDusen Gardens. The sun shone the entire time. We definitely did not need all the gear we got dressed in, and the children were so happy to be out in the fresh air.
Thank you to all the drivers who drove and dropped off and thank you to those that stayed and enjoyed the excellent field trip. We had two instructors that talked about how seeds grow, travel and reproduce. We looked at so many different and interesting seeds. Ask your child about the dead man's finger...oooeeeeeee. At the end of the 90 minute field trip the children all had time to make a little seed necklace. They felt that was the high light of the entire trip. Also i sent home a little free pass so that you and your family can go for a visit to the gardens within the next year. Pick a sunny day, it is so worth it!!

Coming up next week:
Monday afternoon, a performance for the entire school called Kunda. It's an African Dance troupe that will be performing for everyone. Thank you PAC!

Tuesday and Wednesday---early dismissal at 200. Please be on time as I have some Parent Teacher conferences that begin right at 200.
Also on Wednesday afternoon, Jung, from Roots of Empathy will be coming in...am not certain if the baby will be visiting yet or not. I will send pictures if that is a yes!!

Thursday--our Remembrance Day assembly. We invite all parents to attend this assembly. It is a somber serious assembly. My class and Ms. Jung's class do the annual poppy procession. It is very sweet, very heartwarming and I know that you will love this part! If you could have your child dressed in reds, blacks and whites...that would be great. Please don't worry if this is not possible. The assembly begins after recess which is 1100. If you come a little bit before that then you will get a seat (it is always pretty crowded!!)

Friday--Curriculum Implementation Day. That means no school for the children. School for teachers.

With that,
Enjoy the beautiful pictures from VanDusen.
