Happy Easter to everyone!!
I hope everyone had a great Easter..full of chocolate, eggs and family fun!
The reason I am so late on my blog is for that exact reason...my parents from the interior are down and we have been playing lots of scrabble, card games and having feast upon feast! I will likely be in a sugar coma by tomorrow...and will need to detox!!

This will just be a short and sweet update.
I have some pictures of the children as they experimented on Newtons's Second Law of Motion. In the very most simplistic definitions, the more force you use to push an object the farther and faster it will go. The children then experimented on cans using a soft push and a hard push to see if it would go farther and faster. They used a toothpick, a straw, a stir stick and their hand to do their experiments. We will be doing our third law of motion this week.

This Wednesday is an important day. It is Ashley Spires/World Book Day.
The children will be meeting Ashley Spires and be listening to her read from some of her books. She is famous for many books, but the one I recognize is Small Saul...and I think the children will as well.
On this day the entire school is invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. It does not need to be from an Ashley Spires book, but from any book that they want. It should be a fun day!

Finally a big thank you to Kelly for helping get my classroom tidied and mouse free. Thank you to Michelle as well for helping de-clutter our classroom. It looks amazing!!
Even though I am decluttering....I am going to throw it out there and see if anyone might have a rug that is about 5 feet by 4 feet to put down in my newly cleansed area??? If you do and it is in clean, good shape, I would love it!

With that...I need to go and play more scrabble!!!!!!!
Enjoy the pix

Actually the pictures of the children are not of Newtons Second Law but of the first law. We experimented outside in the beautiful fresh air while the one day of sunshine shone down on us!!

This is Nina with her new look...the tooth that she let me pull out!!

Doing work outside was such a treat!!
