Let me know and I will do a separate picture with their vehicle next week, for the next blog. So sorry!

Our Sports Day writing and art!
Good Morning everyone,

I hope everyone has enjoyed the beautiful sunshine that we have been anxiously awaiting!!! I have spent the entire weekend outdoors and hope that you have as well. With this beautiful sunshine also comes the need to remind you to make sure that your children will come to school on hot and sunny days with sunscreen
, hats and plenty of fluids to keep them fully hydrated. It's hard to remember that when we have had such a long season of rain!!

On Thursday we had a great day of sport. The children were great and had a lot of fun participating in all the sporting events. The weather was great, the snack provided by the PAC was fantastic and the feast of hotdogs, carrots and chips with Ms. Jung's and Mrs. Applebees class was a hit! Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time to facilitate the hotdog picnic and who were there to help out with some of the races. It was a great start to a wonderful weekend!

This next week will bring us more fun and exciting activities.
Coming tomorrow is our Hi Tech, Hi Touch workshop where we will extend our learning of our forces and motion by more hands on activities. Unfortunately, I will not be there in the morning as I have hurt my neck with the gardening and was able to get a chiro appt to help loosen the neck a little...owee...Please talk to your child about appropriate behaviours when we have guests in. I will be in after lunch.

Also arriving tomorrow is our Swiss Exchange Teacher. For the last five years I have received a student who is in their last year of teaching in Switzerland to do a 3 week learning experience at Bayview. This year our students name is Melanie Fuster. I am excited to be having her in our class. It is a great learning experience for both our students as well as for the Swiss students. Bayview will be hosting 4 Swiss students this year. If you see them, make sure you give them our traditional Bayview welcome!

This Friday Nikoo will continue to talk about the importance of Bees and pollination and flowers. I think she loved her role as Bee-koo and will continue to enhance our day with her wonderful stories and learning experiences!

We will also continue with our Water science!

Thank you to all the parents who helped support their children in the building of their vehicle. The children had so much fun and were very proud of their inventions. We will spend the next few weeks individually showing them to the class as part of our show and tell at the end of the day. During the next few weeks, please do not send any additional show and tell pieces with your child as this will take up a big chunk of our time. Pictures of the inventions will follow.

Have a great day today...I hear it is the sunniest yet!
Take care!
Teri
