Hello families,
Brrr..for the beginning of June it's a bit chilly!!!!
Luckily for us, the weather held out while we were on our trip to the UBC farms. The children were awesome..the program...well...so so...I think the children knew more than the instructor, but even so, they were respectful and well behaved. Thank you to the parents who drove and who stayed to supervise, field trips could not take place without all the supportive parents.
We have two more walking field trips to Purple Dragon. The first two karate lessons were amazing. I think the children have already learned sooo much from excellent instructors. We did, however, need to discuss our behaviour on this field trip as many children were having difficulty focusing on what the instructors were saying and were a little "silly". We will be revisiting respectful listening when on field trips during the week. I am sure it was just a glitch and am certain that the next two field trips will show much more positive listening!

This coming up week a colleague of Deana's will be visiting to show us how to make traditional Bannock. We made non-traditional bannock using mashed potatoes last week so we will see which bannock we prefer. We will be doing this activity on Wednesday, so stay tuned for some pictures.

Just a reminder and an invitation to all the parents about our Volunteer appreciation that is this Friday.
I invite everyone to come to our assembly which starts at 900ish and then for some coffee and donuts in the library afterwards...we "do-nut" know what we would do with out you!!! I feel all my parents should be appreciated, so do come if you can!!!

This is just a short little email, enjoy the pictures from our farm.
Take care,
I will see you all tomorrow morning!
