Hello everyone,
What a change in weather this weekend!! I know my garden loved the rain, and will appreciate the sunshine that I hope will be here next week.
All this sunshine gave us the chance to go out to our garden and plant more seeds. So far we have peas and beans and kale growing nicely and on Tuesday the plan is to seed the carrots. Inside we have onions, tomatoes and potatoes and more beans growing. There are plants everywhere! We are learning about all the plants that we are planting, their nutritional benefits, what one can do with them in their cooking, how to plant them , how they grow. This week we learned about the carrot and thus the grade two's will be making a carrot soup for all of us so that we can try a little sample of what yummy things we can make from what we grow.

This last week we had Deana in again to share with us the importance of frogs for some First Nation families. We are currently working on our projects as we speak.

On Friday we had a wonderful presentation from Hi Tech/Hi Touch. Cosmic Karen came in and taught us about light and sound. The children did a lot of hands on experiments. Many pictures included in this blog.

So just a reminder that there is a professional day tomorrow and an Earthquake drill on Thursday....yes this time Im sure!
Enjoy the pictures and I will see everyone on Tuesday.
